The model converts household parcel demand into indicative vehicle requirements using a working benchmark of approximately 75 delivery drops per courier or vehicle per day.

LTN identified 1,204 postcode districts with at least three of the four researched carrier networks within 25 kilometres. At 50 kilometres, that rises to 2,014. These areas represent concentrated operating territories where multiple fleets may require similar technology and services.
